Getting Started

Welcome to Wippidu! This guide helps you find your way around after your first login.

Logging In

  1. Open the Wippidu app in your browser
  2. Enter your email address and password
  3. Choose the login option:
    • Quick login: Shorter session duration
    • Stay signed in: Longer session duration (7 days)

The Home Page

After logging in, you will see your personal home page. It looks different depending on your role:

As a parent, you see your children with their location, group, and current absence status.

As an employee, you see the children in your group with a today/tomorrow view.

App Layout

In the header you will find:

  • Wippidu logo: Back to home page
  • Quick access icons: Home, News, Messages/Parent Letters, Calendar -- with badges for unread items
  • Language selector: Switch between German and English
  • Theme toggle: Light/dark mode
  • Gear icon: Settings, archive, and more options
  • Logout button: End your session

Tip: Smartphone navigation

On smartphones, you can find the menu via the hamburger icon (three lines) at the top. The quick access icons remain visible in the header.

In the sidebar (desktop) or via the hamburger menu (smartphone), you will find all features for your role:

  • Parents: Messages, Report Absence, Absence History
  • Employees: Messages, Child Notifications, Chat, All Children at Location
  • Group Leaders: Additionally Child Clusters
  • Location Leaders: Additionally Parent Access Times, Location Settings
  • Administrators: Extensive management options in the gear menu

Notification Badges

Red badges on the icons indicate new items:

  • Unread news
  • Unread messages or parent letters
  • New calendar entries

Switching Language

The app is available in German and English. You can switch the language at any time via the language selector in the top right.
